I once read an article about how kind words spoken to another can help you change how you feel about life in a positive way! That got me thinking and not only did I realize that this is fabulous, I’ve added my own twist to help make it really add sizzle to your relationship.

I challenge you to try this for one week. Each day say something extra sweet, special and loving to your partner. Do it in a unique way each day. To make it easy for you, here’s a day-by-day recipe for the whole week!

1. On Monday slip a secret love note into your honey’s briefcase or lunch bag. Even a napkin with “I think you’re totally hot!” is sure to bring a smile.

2. On Tuesday leave a seductive lipstick message (“I want you” or “Can’t wait until you come home”) on the bathroom mirror before you go to bed so your beloved sees it in the morning.

3. On Wednesday send a romantic email or a series of increasingly revealing text messages. Keep them rated PG (no naughty pix) so they don’t come back to haunt you.

4. On Thursday record a saucy little webcam message to send to your darling at work but ONLY if that is an appropriate environment. If you aren’t sure, keep the message simple but loving. It’s the gesture that counts. If they have a laptop, send a message to let them know that they should be somewhere private before they open your video message. You don’t want to be the hottest thing at Starbucks!

If you don’t have a webcam on your computer, tablet or phone, create an MP3 using a computer microphone or a digital recorder. If you’re getting frustrated with me and confused about the technology at this point, don’t despair, you can still use the old standby: the tape cassette recorder

Record a sexy message and put it in your honey’s car with a post-it on the dashboard with directions to play what’s in the tape deck (or iPod, etc.) when a quiet moment presents itself. You don’t want them listening to you reveal all the romantic things you want to do to them later that evening while they have Jane, Suzie and the rest of the soccer team in the backseat!

5. On Friday, get your sweetie to participate in your little game (if he or she hasn’t already) by waltzing up behind them and whispering a slinky question in their ear. Try something like: “what part of my body would you like to plant your lips on at this moment?” If you’re shy, try asking: “what was your favourite thing to do when we first got together?”

Are you getting the picture yet?

6. On Saturday, slip out to either a pay phone or the corner store and use your cell phone and call home. Test out your newly developed abilities to say sexy, sweet nothings to your darling. Experiment with how daring you get. Risk a little!

7. On Sunday, plan a romantic candlelight dinner and turn it into an extended love fest where you go on and on about various body parts and characteristics that you love about your lover! Write these out and place notes in the napkin or under their plate so they appear during and after your scrumptious dinner. Tuck another under the wine glass or tie a note with ribbon to one of the dessert utensils. Have fun with this.

Wow – what a week of sizzling romance you’ll have. See if you can create a whole month of these – or simply see how long you can keep it up – so to speak

What will you choose??

1) Sex defined – essentially this is about clarifying what denotes sexual activity – you are likely having a lot more sex than you think! If it is intimate behaviour (touching, kissing, snuggling, etc.) which you wouldn’t do with anyone else such as a cousin or sibling – then it falls into this category.

2) Honour and include each other – respect that you are each unique individuals and no-one is in the wrong here. Be honest and develop ways to include each other. You don’t always have to engage in a complete session involving intercourse. Simply being present with each other perhaps while one of you is engaged in self pleasure can be a good start. Start by not lying, avoiding, pretending to sleep, etc. and work your way up from there.

3) Inner check – learn to scale your desire from 1 – 10. We are not on/off switches. Sometimes you might be at a 3/10 meaning you just need some kissing and maybe a massage and then you’re good to go. Or maybe you are at a 7 or 8 and just need the go ahead. Learn to be discerning in detecting how you actually feel.

4) Follow up with a signal – let your partner know where you are at on that scale with a viable and recognizable signal that sets the stage. Don’t hang a sexy red scarf on the laundry room or garage door if your partner never visits that part of the house!

5) Talk to each other – learn some communication or conflict resolution skills and apply them to your intimate relationship as well! Practice discovering new areas of lovemaking that interest you. There will (or ALWAYS should be) new things to experiment with. Play with the joy of discovery together.

Vibrators Now Allowed In Carry-On Luggage

TORONTO, Canada, June 30, 2011 – On Sunday, June 19th, The San Francisco Chronicle posted an article that might be of interest to hesitant travelers. The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) has announced that it will allow travelers to pack vibrators into their carry-on luggage. While this is great news for many already fearful or embarrassed flyers, it is still important to remember that a few helpful guidelines while packing for your flight might help to make sure there are no embarrassing holdups at the security checkpoint.

One thing to remember is that in short, all current travel laws will still remain in effect with some minor modifications. What does this mean for you? While vibrating devices are now allowed, they still must be less than 7 inches (18 cm) like other similar objects. If you decide to travel with any liquids (possibly slippery ones), they must still be in a non-glass container that is 3 ounces (100 ml) or less, unmarked is fine. As much as you prepare yourself, always remember to prepare your toys for the flight as well. Remove any batteries if possible or put your toy in locked travel mode to prevent any unwanted vibrations. Steve Bannister, CEO of Aren’t We Naughty who makes some of the adult industry’s top products says, “I’m always carrying a few toys in my carry-on bags when I go back and forth from Toronto to China. Sometimes even I forget to lock them which can make for some very interesting conversations with security. I find it funny when I’m carrying ten of them in my bag at once, because I can’t help but start laughing at the awkward looks I get when my bag goes through the scanner.”

Knowing this, you also might want to vacation with your poker face as well to avoid yourself any embarrassment. If you are nervous that someone may see your toy at the checkpoint, know this. They will. Nico Melendez, spokesperson for the TSA says, “Inspectors are doing their job. They are trained professionals and they know a vibrator when they see one. They will not confiscate a vibrator. But they are trained to pay attention to electronic devices. Inspectors inspect, if you don’t want us to see it, don’t bring it.”

Do not let that scare you though. Carol Queen, a San Francisco sex expert, explains how easy it is to deal with a nosey inspector. “There’s no reason to be embarrassed. If an inspector asks you about it, look him in the eye and tell him it’s your vibrator.” More people travel with toys than you might think, so it is not something you should feel ashamed to have on you.

For the more adventurous, do not worry. Leather whips and paddles are still allowed.
