Coaching takes a Solution Focussed Approach to Low Libido

Hello,

I’m interested in seeking help from a sex therapist such as yourself. I’ve never seen a therapist, so don’t know what to expect.. My main motivation is to try and understand why I have such a low libido with my spouse. We’ve been together 11 years and have 2 young daughters.

Thanks,
Jessica

Hello Jessica

Good for you for taking action around your concern. It can be frustrating to have a low sex drive – for both parties involved. I do want to say that I’m not a sex therapist, though I do have sex therapy training. I’m a coach, which is slightly different. Therapists generally go into your past and try to find pain points and reasons for your feelings. This can be helpful to overcome severe trauma, but that isn’t likely the case with you. As a coach, I work with what is happening now, what is going well, what you want more of moving forward and then helping you to get there in the perfect way that suits you and suits your life and situation. It isn’t a cookie cutter approach, but is client and solution focused – centered on you and what you want to achieve. You set the goals and I hold the framework to help hold you accountable and help you get there.

The most common concern for women, that I hear anyhow, is low libido. Especially after having children and in longer term relationships. The good news is that it really is something that can be resolved quite quickly and effectively. There is no magic pill, but if you are willing to put some time and attention on improving how you feel in your intimate relationship, you will have results!

I’m happy to offer you a 30 minute complimentary phone consultation to help you see if this is the right avenue for you to pursue. If not, I may be able to point you in another direction.

Thanks for emailing me, Jessica. I look forward to chatting.
